CHRISTOF WACKERNAGEL

 

 


1951 born in Ulm/south-Germany, classical high school in Munich.

1967 bis 1977 actor and together with Fips Fischer and others member of a multi-media groep in Stuttgart (printing, edition of books, music-production, experimental film and video), (main-)parts in several films.

1977 participant of the west german urban guerilla group "red army faction", after a shooting party in Amsterdam imprisoned until 1987 - after that again working as actor and author.

Fiction: »Nadja, short stories and fragments« (1982), Stroemfeld/Roter Stern; »Pictures of an exhibition« (1986), stories, Rowohlt; Essays.

Theatre: »The final victory« - theatre-piece (1990), ordered by Staatstheater Kassel; »The process against Georgi Dimitroff 1933 in Berlin (Reichstagsbrandprozess)« - theatre-piece (1994), ordered by Schauspielhaus Bochum.

Radio: »Das Mörsenbroicher Ei« - play (1988), Deutschlandsender-Kultur; »Der blinde Fleck« - play (1993), Ostdeutscher Rundfunk Brandenburg/Westdeutscher Rundfunk Köln; »the water-wheels of Hama« - sculpure of sounds (1996) for DeutschlandRadio Berlin.

Paintings: exhibitions in Bochum, München and Hamburg (Germany), Damascus (Syria)
